Diane's Story
I live in Houston, and I retired from teaching last June. Unfortunately, my husband passed away after I retired, but I am staying busy. I have two lovely daughters, one is 43 and lives in Ft. Worth. She is a pediatrician, as is her husband (pediatric ER). They have two precious children. My other daughter is 30 years old and also is married. She and her husband will move to New York City this summer. She will pursue her MBA at NYU's Stern School of Business. I have traveled a lot, mainly to Italy with my husband, who was Italian. That was written several years ago. I am now remarried. My older daughter is 51 years old and stil lives in Fort Worth, working as a pediatrician. My grandson is 19 and is at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. My granddaughter is a senior in high school at Trinity Valley School. My younger daughter is now divorced, lives in San Francisco, and works for Boston Consultng Group. I travel a lot, and do a little volunteer work. I gave up being a substitute teacher as I got tired of waking up at 5:00 am. I like the lifestyle of a retired person.
